History Built in 1899 by Wm Denny & Bros in Dumbarton, Scotland, Sir Walter Scott is the only surviving screw steamer in Scotland. Powered by her original triple expansion steam engine, she still operates tourist cruises on Loch Katrine. The Artist Military pilot and clinical psychologist Gordon Vandyke has done serious ship modeling since 1975. His eclectic interests include early modern vessels of historic interest, and his ship models are alive with personal detail.
