History WW II Victory ship sold to Dutch owner and renamed Meliskerk. She is shown in diorama on the Hong Kong approaches in the early sixties as personally experienced by the modelmaker. The Model Original design from 1943 U.S. Maritime Commission plans, in ultra realistic diorama setting. Mixed media with minimal use of commercial parts. Interior lighting. Scale 1:100. Case L 6' W 2' H 2'. The Artist Captain van der Ven is a retired merchant marine officer who has built ship models for many years.
