HistoryBuilt in Germany as Oswiga in 1923, and renamed Hurry On in 1927 in British Columbia. Ran between Vancouver and Ensenada as a cover for rum-running during Prohibition. Later entered coastal trade from the Great Lakes to Halifax and south to New York. Sank off Henry Island, NS in a storm 1935.
The ModelOriginal ship model from Builderšs plans. All components and fittings by hand of the artist. Scale 3/16 in = 1 ft. Length 34 inches. Custom case available.
The ArtistMark Boudreau is a retired custom builder who has created original hand-crafted ship models for many years. His immaculate work is known in Canada and the U.S. He specializes in ship models of early twentieth century steam and motor vessels.
