| History | Built in Shelburne, Nova Scotia and launched in 1905, the coastal steamer Dufferin served ports between Halifax and Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia until 1932, powered by a double expansion engine with wood-burning boiler. |
| The Model | Original design ship model from plans by the artist taken from old photographs in the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in Halifax. Plywood framing and pine planking covered with fiberglass, mahogany decks. Scale 1:24. Fully operational with twin cylinder steam engine, propane fired, including operational steam winch, under 3 channel radio control. Unique reversibility feature. Engine and variable pitch propeller designed by the artist. Built 1995-2000.

| The Artist | Mr. Concannon has built operational aircraft and ship models for many years, utilizing skills acquired in aircraft production and design engineering. He has served as Chief Designer on many aerospace projects. |
