History The Gaspesienne was a type of double-ended trawler designed and built at the turn of the century for fishing off the Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec Province.
The ModelOriginal ship model design by Mr. Green from marine architect drawings by Howard Chapelle which were purchased from the Smithsonian. This ship model is complete in every respect, both above and below decks with outstanding detail and accuracy. All components by the hand of the builder. Custom case available on request.
The ArtistJohn Green has been building ship models in Halifax for the last twenty-three years, specializing in vessels of the rich Canadian Maritime Provinces tradition. He also does commission work and restoration of antique ship models.
