| History | Famed battleship whose career spanned half a century. On her decks, Gen. MacArthur received the surrender of the Imperial Japanese forces to end World War II. She later served in the Korean conflict and her sixteen-inch guns pounded Iraqi positions in the Gulf War. Now a museum in Pearl Harbor. |
| The Model | Original ship model in 1:96 scale, using a 110 inch fiberglass hull from Scale Shipyard. Armament includes 20 and 40 mm guns from H&R, with all other components by hand of the ship model artist, with special resin castings, and fittings of brass, aluminum, fiberglass and plastic. Thoroughly researched to depict the ship in her September 1945 configuration. A video of the ship model’s extensive detail is available. |
